A MESSAGE FROM UN SECRETARY-GENERAL KOFI ANNAN
Ahead of World AIDS Day, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan underlined the importance of commitment and accountability in his 2006 World AIDS Day message.
Here is an excerpt:
"Accountability -- the theme of this World AIDS Day -- requires every President and Prime Minister, every parliamentarian and politician, to decide and declare that “AIDS stops with me”... But accountability applies not only to those who hold positions of power. It also applies to all of us... And it requires every one of us help bring AIDS out of the shadows, and spread the message that silence is death."

GRIPS 2006 war ein Riesenerfolg
LH Haider/LHStv.

| September 2007 - Cineatrix in Redwired |
Cineatrix
The project Cineatrix is a collaboration between iPressl, Kimeki (kimeki.info) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Isaac and Dipl. Ing. Daniel G Pressl.
In collaboration with a new initiative from Austria in Europe, the MIT Edgerton Outreach program is working on a new project, Cineatrix. The original idea stemmed from the knowledge that there is a new generation of children who are digital natives, kids who haven't known a world without iPods and digital cameras, let alone a comfort level with computers. An MIT student from Austria, Daniel Pressl, is now working on a new idea for the project, Cineatrix. This will combine film, theatre and comics. There are two main thoughts to the program.
First and foremost, as a means of story-telling, children will be able to take movies, add special effects to the movies and be able to tell their stories in never imagined ways. The goal for the end of the course is every child will be able to bring a DVD home, to which they have contributed through filming, editing or storytelling.
The second aim is that children, between 10 and 15 years old, get to teach their technological know-how in media and videography to children between 5 and 10. This extraordinary, media-pedagogical concept has proven to show great possibilities and a new way of learning for children and has been running for the past 4 years, in Austria. We run parallel sessions in which the older children are trained on our particular hardware/software to do the filming, editing and other finishing stages, and have the older children then turn around and teach these same skills to the Storytellers, the younger children.

The schools and students are excited about the project and are looking forward to present their photographs and results in April 2007 in the Kuss Wolfsberg, in Kaernten.

NOW, you can develop you pictures through redwired.org.
Redwired has a new partnership:
"We will constantly increase the potential of redwired.org". says DI Daniel Pressl, CEO of redwired.org.
The new partnership with CDLab will make it possible for redwired.org users to not only upload their digital pictures into their redwired album, but also be able to develop their fotos! The pictures marked by the users for development are sent to the users local foto-store, from which they can shortly be retrieved.
The feature will be functionable in the week of the 8th of January 2007. Shortly, after the St. Paul Maturaball in St. Paul, Kaernten.
This way, the students will not only be able to upload their prom fotos, but also receive real photographs to hold in their hands.

| 6th January 2007 - St. Pauler Maturaball 2007 - A Redwired Event |
Redwired will present today at a big event, the St. Paul Maturaball 2007.
The St. Paul Maturaball is always a fascinating event and will open its doors today for students, alumni, people from Wolfsberg, Kaernten, Austria and the whole world. The rooms of the Konvikt in St. Paul, magically transformed by the students and teachers organizing the ball, will welcome more than 2000 guests, as usual.
Redwired hopes that some of the visitors will grasp a glims of its presentation at the ball. The St. Paul Maturaball 2007 - "St. Paul goes Broadway" is a member of Redwired and Redwired with is features tried to support it as good as possible. In the next week, even a new feature will be added to the Redwired, where users will be able to not only upload their digital fotos to their redwired album, but also develop them at their local fotostore through Redwired.
"The more the Redwired network grows the more powerful and useful its features will become for its users. We hope that some of the visitors of the ball will come to Redwired and look at pictures, as well as communicate with the students and leave feedback. The students of coming Maturaballs and future visitors will thank them, although nothing can really go wrong at such a nice and friendly event." says DI Daniel Pressl, CEO of Redwired and former student at the Stiftsgymnasium St. Paul.
Enjoy your evening and maybe we will see you at the ball!
